• Jazz (formerly Mobilink-Warid): Jazz, a merger of Mobilink and Warid, held the largest market share in Pakistan’s telecom sector. In 2020, Jazz commanded a substantial 36.4% share of the mobile market, boasting over 62 million subscribers.

• Telenor Pakistan: Telenor secured the second-largest market share, with around 28.3 million subscribers, constituting roughly 24.7% of the market. Telenor had a strong presence in urban and rural areas.

• Zong (China Mobile): Zong, backed by China Mobile, had been making significant inroads in Pakistan. It had gained a market share of 21.3% with approximately 47 million subscribers. Its 4G coverage expansion was a game-changer.

• Ufone: Ufone, a subsidiary of PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited), was the smallest among the major players, with a market share of around 14.7% and 25 million subscribers.
